Reflexology

Reflexology is said to have originated in China 5,000 years ago, when pressure therapies were used to assist the correction of energy fields in the body. It works on the basis that there are zones in the hands and feet associated with various glands, organs and regions of the body.

It uses the application of pressure to support the whole body through a series of 'reflex points'. This is believed to encourage the flow of natural energy (chi) to assist the body's natural healing process. Reflexology believes that every aspect of our physical body is mirrored in the feet, thus allowing support of the body in its entirety.

Reflexology can support in the management of stress-related ailments as well as promoting a sense of calm and well-being.
