What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is the creation of a trance like state which is a naturally occurring state that everyone experiences regularly on a day to day basis and is very much like daydreaming.

All forms of hypnotherapy are in fact self-hypnosis and allow you to be gently guided towards positive goals and conclusions. During a hypnotic therapy session you will experience a state of deep relaxation, where your attention will be focused on the therapist's voice and the issues you have chosen to address. Contrary to popular belief, you will not be asleep, but will in fact be experiencing an enhanced state of awareness, which in turn will allow the promotion of healing and positive change deep within you.

Through the imaginative use of hypnotic language patterns and metaphors you therapist will be able to guide you in to a deep state of relaxation. As your focus on their words increases and you experience an increasing state of calm, you will be able to move your attention away from your analytical conscious mind to your more intuitive and deep seated unconscious mind. It is here, deep in your unconscious, that the most profound and enduring changes in beliefs and behaviours will occur.

Hypnotherapy has been around for thousands of years and can be used alone or in conjunction with NLP to help you achieve positive and profound changes for a range of health and personal development issues affecting mind, body and emotions.
