From the 1st of August we will be open for face to face consultations.
On behalf of all of us at D.Atkinson Herbalist and Napiers Clinic we would like to thank everyone for giving us so much support during these past months, and being so understanding, as we struggled to move over to online consultations, battle with technology and software, and try to get medicines to you while you waited on the pavement! This has been such a difficult time for everybody and I want to thank you for continuing to support local businesses like ours.
With the easing of lockdown guidelines by the Scottish Government, our Clinic will be reopening fully for face to face consultations from the 1st August, and we look forward to welcoming you back. Most of our practitioner team are back and are taking appointments for face to face consultations and our beauty therapy team are looking forward to seeing clients again. Online and telephone consultations will also still be available.
The wellbeing of our patients, practitioners and staff is of the utmost importance and so we have put in place enhanced measures to make the clinic a safe and comfortable place for everyone and to reduce any risk to a minimum.
What to expect when you attend an appointment in our Clinic
Patients will be sent a Covid form, in advance of their appointment, to fill in to confirm that they have no virus symptoms. This form needs to be completed and sent back to our reception team.
All staff, practitioners and patients will have a temperature check on entering the building.
We ask that all patients wear a facemask when attending clinic and arrive as close to their appointment time as possible and on their own, although we understand that this may not always be possible. We also request that you use the hand sanitiser provided in reception on arrival and socially distance wherever possible.
We will no longer provide tea/books/magazines in reception. Water will be available in rooms as needed with disposable cups.
The reception team will be working from behind sneeze screens. Pens, clip boards and any reception tools that are used will be sanitised between patients. The reception area and toilet will be cleaned and sanitised before opening and frequently during the day.
PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) will be worn by all our practitioners.
All chairs in consulting rooms have been changed to vinyl coverings so that they can be sanitised between patients and all pillows have now been changed to ones that can be wiped down. We will be using disposable paper coverings on couches and completely changing any towels/sheets that are used between clients.
Your therapist may be in touch with you separately before your appointment with any additional information or requests.
Once again, we very much look forward to welcoming you back into our clinic. Please don’t hesitate to call our reception on 0131 225 5542 with any questions or to make an appointment.
With warmest wishes,
Dee, Ruth and the whole team
Dee Atkinson (FNIMH)
